FOR ALL MY FELLOW APPLE USERS:

Apple Computers has issued a wide ranging recall for ALL iBook & PowerBook G4 batteries!!!
These are sony made battery's that are exploding. SO perhaps you have noticed a little extra
heat under the hood of your sweet, sweet little laptop and thought it was just those amazing
G4 processors hard at work. BUT NO! It was your shitty SONY battery about to explode. They
can actually explode. So pull them out, go to the link below, and order yourself a new one!!!
Also, if you have an older model G3 and you ordered a new battery in the last 2 years, you
may have a defective one. Check it out just to be sure. Better safe than sorry. Until next time.

Howdy, Joe... howya been?

Its funny you mentioned the batteries, because here @ Honda R&D, just about all the designers here use the Dell Precision mobile workstations, so that amounts to about 700 dell laptops that use those same sony-made batteries.  Needless to say... we are all using our ac adapters right about now!

Joe! I bet everyone's why I posted twice on your xanga.  Well the answer is I have no idea what your email is, and I didn't trust that shady xanga message thing... so, here I am.   I guess to answer your questions, I'll just be blunt... because we engineers love to be blunt.  And we also like to number things... so here I go:   1)  Life is good... I live in Dublin, OH... a suburb in Columbus, OH. 2)  I work as a seat belt design engineer at Honda R&D. 3)  My current project is the Acura 2009 TL.  (cool, eh?) 4)  I have owned zero Hondas... yes... sad, I know.  I just own a crappy, but reliable Isuzu Rodeo. 5)  But I worked in the Oil & Gas industry before Honda... for 9 months. 6)  Schlumberger... ever heard of it?  Do you work for Cheasapeake?  I did a job on one of their gas wells once.  Anyways, I was a Wireline field engineer... logging wells, perforating wells, running tools, working with explosives & radiation, driving F350s to dirty oil sites, sweating in the 105deg heat of Texas.  It wasn't too bad... just long hours... 18 hr days... sometimes long ones at a stretch.  Longest day I had was 52 hours.  It was crazy. 7)  Since you are familiar with the oil industry, you'll appreciate this story:  My last week at Schlumberger:  I was trying to log a 20,000ft well in Lousiana.  In a nut shell:  Up for 48 hours, had problems the whole job, went through 3 different sets of tools, none worked, after troubleshooting all night, I finally get a tool working (a dual-decay pulsed neutron tool that measures reservoir saturation)... I get stuck @ 19,940ft.  Stuck @ 4am in the morning.  Crap.  After a bunch of talking with bosses and mad company men, we attempt to work the tool with the winch... no good..  Then we try to pull the tool free with the Rig block.  Pull it free, 10 hours later, bring the tool to surface only to find the whole tool is flooded.  FLOODED with 12 lb mud.  At 20,00ft with 12 lb mud, I had temp of 340degF and ridiculous pressure.  So I just ruined a $500,000 tool.  Awesome.  So I was glas to have another job already.  In the end... after investigation, they blamed it on faulty o-rings and poor machining tolerances that were off by 100th of a mm.  AWESOME. 8)  So now I'm at Honda.  I work in climate controlled weather with reasonable hours.  its great. 9)  I think I've typed the longest comment EVER.  Congrats. 10)  BTW... congrats on getting married!  That's awesome.  Except that I wasn't invited.  What's up, Joe... we spend our entire senior year at PC building a robot together, and this is how you repay me?  That's okay... I guess you didn't have my address. 11)  Anyways... nice talkin to you, good luck in OKC!
